For me, the design must somehow express what surrounds the casing; in the moment in which it reaches this point, it can be considered that the design work is accomplished.

Now today, there is a congestion of the word design; anything, any work you do, though not to anything to do with the design, you insert to make it more current, the particle “design”, by web-design, which are actually the graphics, the “stylists” that were renamed fashion-design …
I would define “abuse”, in particular in Italy, it is clear that there is a certain subculture; a real and profound inability to understand the sense of the term and an inability to diversify its property.
The designer is a cross between a technical designer and an artist; must always mediate between what are the industrial needs and those which are the needs of the current form and the expressive ability inherent to the object.

Per me il design deve in qualche modo esprimere ciò che avvolge l’involucro; nel momento in cui si raggiunge questo punto, si può considerare che il lavoro di design è compiuto.
Ormai oggi, c’è una congestione della parola design; qualsiasi cosa, qualsiasi lavoro si faccia, anche se non a nulla a che vedere con il design, si inserisce per renderlo più attuale, la particella “design”, dai web-design, che in realtà sono dei grafici, gli “stilisti”, che sono stati rinominati fashion-design…
Lo definirei “abuso”, in particolare in Italia, è evidente che c’è una certa sottocultura; una incapacità effettive e profonda di comprendere in senso del termine e una incapacità di diversificare le sue proprietà.
Il designer è una via di mezzo tra un disegnatore tecnico e un artista; deve sempre mediare tra ciò che sono le esigenze industriali e quelle che sono le esigenze della forma attuale e la capacità espressiva insita nell’oggetto.
